The First Snowfall
This is what I saw on Saturday morning. Do you see the snow on the ground outside?
In this picture you can see the snowflakes that didn't melt yet. They are neat!
Did you know that kitties can get a new coat in the winter? This is what Marzi's looks like.
As you can see, Marzi is so comfy in his winter coat.
Me, not so much.
Humans will do all kinds of things to keep warm in the winter months.
What do you do to keep warm on those white snowy days?

It's been awhile!
Alright friends, you don't have to be afraid to say it... I haven't been very good at blogging lately. How long has it been, a year? I'm not very good at telling time yet. The Mommy said that instead of procrastinating for something major to blog about, that I should at least give everyone an update. I think that she is being a bit bossy, but I suppose that she does have a point. Besides, I better do what she says if I expect to get any noms. So here is what we have been up to:
Mama turned 13 years old in human years, which is something like 68 years old in kitty years. She didn't want a birthday party for some reason. I think maybe because she's starting to feel OLD. For her birthday she got a new, very soft pillow bed. She doesn't share it with anyone. That's Mama for you. Here is a picture of her on her birthday, sitting by her dish as though she is demanding to get treats. It worked.
Her and Marzi seem to be getting along better each day. I think I even saw a headbonk once, although she would never admit it.
How could I forget to mention... Mama got into a fight with a real life monster!
Are you thinking what I'm thinking? It's like a Frankenstein cat, don't you think! The Mommy says it is our next door neighbor's cat. He snuck over to our balcony and was face to face with Mama cat. It did not go very well. They were growling and hissing all over the place. The neighbor came and took the Frankencat back home. Hopefully he doesn't show his face around here again.
We learned that Marzi likes Lime Sherbet. One day the Mommy was eating it and he wanted some, so she let him eat it off the spoon. I'm not a fan myself. Anyway, he was licking it and all of a sudden he had a freeze. A brain freeze.
Marzi also likes The Lion King. Here is a picture of him watching it on Sunday.
As for me, I'm doing great! If you biggify the picture below you can see the white hairs that started to grow above my eye. I think that I can pull it off. Do you?
That's it for the updating for now. I hope you all have a great day!

Finally, my present is revealed!
I hate to admit it, but we were not able to get into the mystery package while the Mommy was at work. But she FINALLY came to her senses and opened it up!
A box! A cardboard box! That was the familiar smell this whole time! The Mommy got us a box?
But why is it so flat? Look, Marzi thinks it's his box. But it's not. It's mine.
Why are there so many pieces of cardboard inside the box? Marzi thinks he can figure it out what it's all about. But the ball is a distraction for him. Between the cardboard and the ball, he doesn't get anywhere. So the Mommy had to help. Again.
Look what it turned into! A BIG box! Big enough for two. But as you can see, Mama thinks she is the queen of the box. She hogged it before anyone else had a chance to get inside. How rude.
She really took her time... Look how sneaky she thinks she is. Although, you can hardly see her in there... It does seem like a good hiding spot for her... Hurry up, Mama! Let me have my turn.
Aww, man! What gives? I missed my chance and Marzi is heading in! THE NERVE!
Why does this happen to me? Always last. For everything! I get the feeling that I'm going to be waiting awhile... How can I get him out of there so I can have my turn?
There's no way in through the back on this thing. Darn! Maybe I'll give his tail a chomp. That'll show him.

Still WAITING...
Yet ANOTHER day has passed and this is what I wake up to today!
Mommy... This package isn't going to open itself you know!
Maybe Marzi can help me get this package open to see what's inside. That will show the Mommy a lesson for taking so long to open MY package! She will come home today and realize that she should not make me wait so long for presents. Do you smell that? What IS that smell??? It's so familiar... I just can't put my paw on it.
We will get this open if it's the last thing we do! If we do, you will have to give your bestest innocent face to the Mommy when she finds out. You better practice!
There's no way she can stay mad at us. Good one, Marzi! With your face and my brains, think of all the possibilities!
STAY TUNED to see if we succeed on our mission. Paws crossed.

Making a Birthday Card
Hi, it's Marzi.
Today I made a card for Henry because it is his birthday in 3 days. I have never made a card before but I was feeling crafty and inspired. Just in case you do not know, I am Henry's real Dad. I know it might be hard to believe because he looks more like a Yoda than like me... But it is true. I was there when he was borned.
Since I haven't yet figured out what to give Henry for a present, I knew I had to get the card done right away.
First I had to pick out the colors. I know that Henry likes BRIGHT colors.
Then I had to concentrate real hard and come up with a plan.
I didn't have much paper so I could not make a mistake.
I got distracted a little and made a few mistakes.
About an hour later Soon after I came up with an idea for the card!
I had to stay really focused. That was hard.
I made another mistake when I remembered there is no spell check.
I hope that Henry likes his card!
Now I have to brainstorm for what to get him for a present.

Marzipan needs fashion advice
Marzipan here.
I am having a tough time trying to decide if this yellow is my color or not. I really did not want any pictures taken of me in it until I decided on it... You know how these types of pictures can come back to haunt you. Before you know it, your picture is being submitted to the Ellen Degeneres show or What Not to Wear. Someone else will always be making fun of you on the internet meowadays. I can never seem to stop the Mom from taking pictures of me though. But now I need your advice.
What do you think? Yellow, or not?
This very nice tank comes from the lovely Cat-toure. They have a lot of manly fashions that I like.

Can you ear me now?
Most impurrtantly, it was very nice what everybody said to us yesterday about Sushi leaving us. My human Mommy kept talking and talking about how touched she was. I think she is much more happier now. Thank you very much.
I thought I would tell you a story today about Marzipan (Marzi). My Dad!
He was borned on September 6, 2010. His Mother's name was Melody, and his Father's name was Solo.
This is him when he was just borned. He looks like he might be the size of my toy mouse. Smaller than a Purrakeet I think even. Look at how comfy he looks on this blanket with his sister. Her name was Love.

One day, something bad happened to Marzi and his sister. Their Mom had accidentally chewed on their ears a little too roughly causing purrmanent damage to Marzi's little ear. We do not know why she did that. Maybe she was trying to give them too much love, or maybe it was her first time being a Mom. I think being a Mom is a very hard job and she must have loved Marzi a lot. But Marzi was sad to think that maybe his Mom didn't accept him for the Marzi he was. I just cannot imagine why that would be...
Marzi decided that he would continue to enjoy life, and graciously accepted his unusual ear. Although he needed to to be separated from his Mom, he found a new place to spend his time. With another Mom who had a litter at the time, her name was Coco. She was wonderful and accepted Marzi as her own.
Despite his one curled ear and one straight ear, as you can see Marzi was growing up to be a very nice looking mancat. He had such a positive nature and good temperament, that the human responsible for him decided to keep him and make other kitties just like him.
He wanted to make all of the kittens feel as loved as he could all of the time. He would go and cuddle other kittens often. Even when they were not his. He took the role of being a Dadcat to the kittens very seriously. His expurrience with his own kittenhood made him very cautious and protective of others. He would play with me lots when I was borned, and I always felt safe with him. Sometimes he spent more time with me when I was borned than my Mom did.
This is Marzi with a litter that was not his. I am not in this picture, sadly.
In June of 2012, we brought Marzipan home to live with us, furrever. We play together a lot. He showed me what goes on in the kitchen on the counter and how to jump onto high places. I have showed him how to keep the humans company in the shower and have given him all of my catnip supply. I just do not think I am old enough for that quite yet.
We do love him just the way that he is though, no matter what his ears look like. Even if he had no ears I would still play hide and seek and steal his noms.
